Welcome to KDPTop. KDPTop ("we") operates kdptop.com, the KDPTop browser extension and the KDPTop API (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. Questions: [email protected].
The Service
KDPTop collects public Amazon best-seller lists, new-release lists and product pages, organizes them into category, book, keyword and author data, and adds sales estimates, opportunity scores and AI analysis to help KDP publishers decide what to write and where to list it. KDPTop is not affiliated with Amazon.
Your account
- Use a real email address you can access. You are responsible for everything done under your account. Keep your password and API keys safe and tell us right away if they are misused.
- One account is for one person or one team. Teams should use the seats in a Team plan instead of sharing a login.
- We may disable accounts that break these terms, are created in bulk, or abuse the free limits.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape the website with scripts, crawlers or other automation. Use the API for programmatic access and stay within your plan's limits.
- Resell, redistribute or publish KDPTop data in bulk, or use it to build a competing product.
- Get around usage limits, access controls or security measures, or disrupt the Service.
- Use the Service for anything illegal or that infringes other people's intellectual property or privacy.
Quoting a small amount of data in your own books, research, articles or client reports, with KDPTop credited as the source, is fine.
Accuracy of the data
Sales, revenue, opportunity scores and AI analysis are estimates derived from public information and can differ a lot from reality; for example, they leave out Kindle Unlimited page-read income. The data is for research only and is not a promise of earnings or investment advice. Your publishing and business decisions are your own.
Paid plans
- Paid plans renew automatically each month or year through Stripe, at the price shown on the pricing page and at checkout.
- You can cancel auto-renewal any time from the billing page; paid features stay on until the end of the current billing period.
- For refunds or billing questions, email [email protected] and we will look at your case.
- We will give notice before changing prices; new prices apply from your next billing period.
Free plan and limits
Free plan features and daily limits are as shown on the pricing page and your account page; some limits go up once you verify your email. We may adjust the free limits over time. Daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC.
Intellectual property
The Service itself (software, interface, scoring methods, text and design) belongs to KDPTop. Book titles, covers and similar content belong to their respective owners. Projects and notes you create in the Service are yours.
Changes and interruptions
We keep improving the Service and may add, change or retire features. We work to keep it reliable but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free; maintenance and third-party issues (such as changes to Amazon's pages) can delay data.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data arising from using or being unable to use the Service, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the Service in the previous 12 months.
Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will announce material changes on the website or by email before they take effect; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
